Seiko Harima lives and works in Los Angeles and Japan. Her current work focuses on translating the beauty of nature into oil-on-canvas landscape paintings. The primary aim in her artworks is to reveal the sublime, which she believes resides deeply within nature itself. By directly interacting with the natural world, her profound emotional response becomes fully realized on the canvas. These landscapes are created using vivid colours, which sometimes venture far beyond a traditional landscape view, as we know it.

In addition, she feels a responsibility, for her paintings to show that, the landscape is not immune to the impact of our presence. Through layered brushwork and luminous color, she renders landscapes that are not simply seen as representations of place, but are living atmospheres—spaces where memory, emotion, and environmental awareness converge.
